The Office of the Associate Provost for Graduate Affairs in collaboration with the Office of Professional Development and Postdoctoral Affairs at Boston University is seeking simultaneously to build and expand professional development programming for the University’s PhD students and offer a training position designed to prepare a new PhD graduate for a career pathway in academic administration, with a focus on developing, implementing, and assessing professional development opportunities. The postdoctoral associate will work with stakeholders across the University to coordinate professional development initiatives and minimize duplication of efforts, as well as identify graduate student skill needs. They will also work collaboratively with the Director of Professional Development & Postdoctoral Affairs and BU faculty to backward design, create content for, and implement new workshops and short courses.

Recent PhDs in STEM, humanities, and social sciences are encouraged to apply. Position requires strong teaching and facilitation skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across diverse array of disciplines and backgrounds. Experience designing curriculum is desired. The successful applicant will have strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills, and an ability to thrive in a complex environment.
